Orianna (The Enlightened)

Orianna is the goddess of bravery and leadership. In Zarthura, she is venerated as one of The Madjai and frequently worshipped by politicians and military leaders.

In her mythology, Orianna is often seen as the unofficial "head" of The Madjai. She is commonly described to hold a deep personal respect for Haitham, who is said to return this sentiment with unflinching loyalty; in some depictions, this respect deepens into a romantic relationship, but in most stories they are only ever seen as comrades and close confidants. Additionally, she appears to have a long-lasting and complicated rivalry with her brother, Cassiel, as well as a tense alliance-of-necessity with Elincia.
